Hariyali Teej 2022 was celebrated on 31st July 2022, and Hartalika Teej 2022 will be observed on 30th August 2022, Tuesday. The morning Puja Muhurta will begin from 06:14 AM to 08:42 AM. The beginning of the Tritiya Tithi is from 03:21 PM on 29th August 2022 and will end on 03:33 PM on 30th August 2022.
Hartalika Teej 2022: Significance & Rituals
As per the beliefs and top astrologer in Delhi, Hartalika Teej is celebrated in honor of the union of Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati. It is celebrated as Mata Parvati crafted the auspicious Shiva Lingam on this day. On seeing the dedication of Mata Parvati, Lord Shiva decided to marry her. The women observe Nirjala fast on this day. They dress up in new and traditional clothes and lavish jewelry. Also, Green is usually the color of this day for dressing up. Applying "Mehendi" also has great significance on this day. Lord Shiva and Mata Parvati idols are worshipped during this day. Mantras, Aarti and Hartalika Teej Vrat Katha, are recited on this day to get Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati's blessings. Fresh fruits, green vegetables, flowers, and incense sticks are offered to the deity. Various traditional delicacies and sweets are prepared at home and offered to Mata Parvati. People also listen to traditional music on this day to add more to its charm.
